Job Description

Summary

The Nordstrom Merchandising Technology team is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to support the Product Information Management (PIM) workstream. This role involves building a scalable platform for trusted, accessible product data that drives operational excellence, enables seamless partner integration, and accelerates business growth. As a key member of the Technology organization, you will lead the delivery of cross-functional workstreams that deliver significant business value to Nordstrom and its customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage complex, high-impact programs across multiple teams by building and executing integrated plans.
  • Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to define clear, actionable roadmaps.
  • Develop a deep understanding of product features and business value to help prioritize goals and deliverables.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into detailed program plans, managing risks and dependencies.
  • Drive alignment across diverse, cross-functional teams by influencing and collaborating effectively.
  • Oversee integrated technology solutions, ensuring cohesive architecture and seamless partner integration.
  • Collaborate across engineering, design, product, business, and leadership teams to align on goals and requirements.
  • Champion operational excellence by continuously improving delivery processes.
  • Facilitate technical and design reviews, providing critical input to ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • Serve as the primary communication lead for program status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Anticipate and resolve conflicts and blockers, proactively adjusting roadmaps and priorities.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships, ensuring alignment with Nordstrom’s strategic objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by applying lessons learned and root cause analyses.
  • Utilize strong technical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues and guide trade-off decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a high-impact technology environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple dependencies with minimal supervision.
  • Strong technical acumen with a solid understanding of APIs, cloud technologies, and SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft technical requirements and articulate complex concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record in stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactive problem-solving and risk management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and manage complexity.
  • Experience supporting retail systems or solutions is a plus.
