Job Description

Summary

As a Technical Program Manager Sr 2, you will drive the delivery of critical objectives, support the execution of major business initiatives, manage strategic engineering efforts and help foster a culture of operational excellence. You will be an important part of a growing team using the latest technology to serve our customers, businesses and partners. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished program/project management background, strong business acumen and a passion for creating reliable systems. You are a self-directed critical thinker, creative problem solver and a committed team player. You drive for continuous process improvement and collaborate effectively with cross-functional business/technical teams to solve problems and implement real-world solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Drive program lifecycle from requirements definition through specification, design, quality assurance, implementation, integration, launch, and support in an agile environment.
  • Synthesize requirements, recommend alternative approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines, including driving scope, schedule, and deployment.
  • Help mature internal processes and break down work into logical function groupings to enable the team to deliver early and often.
  • Manage customer expectations while establishing and maintaining clear accountabilities; ensure clarity of delivery commitments, prioritize and re-prioritize to maximize value.
  • Effectively address bottlenecks and anticipate trade-offs to balance security and business needs against team or technology constraints.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of industry experience as a program manager within a technology environment, with retail experience preferred.
  • Progressive track record demonstrating successful delivery of complex technology systems or services at enterprise scale.
  • Strong familiarity with network and cloud infrastructure technology. Software development, workflow modeling and application integration is a plus.
  • Effective written and oral communication with all levels of business and technical leadership.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering processes and methodology (development, configuration, testing, and deployment) is critical in this role.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to drive innovation independently.
  • Experience with technology vendors, coupled with strong negotiation and influence skills are essential.
