Summary
The Store Director is responsible for delivering a personalized client experience, driving store sales and profitability, leading and developing store teams, and ensuring operational excellence across the Soho flagship. This role partners with senior and regional management to set store vision, staffing models, CRM strategy, and merchandising standards. The director oversees full profit and loss responsibility and coordinates cross functional activities to optimize customer experience and store performance.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute the store vision and business strategy in partnership with senior management
- Lead, mentor, and develop assistant directors and department managers to drive sales and service
- Monitor performance metrics including weekly sales by category and mystery shop results
- Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll processes and hiring for exempt and nonexempt roles
- Oversee inventory management, cycle and physical counts using Retail Pro and POS systems
- Maintain store appearance standards and ensure front and back of house efficiencies
- Develop and implement CRM initiatives and clienteling activities to grow customer relationships
- Plan and execute collection previews and in-store events with marketing and senior management
- Control expenses and manage full P&L with regular reporting to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or related field
- Minimum 10 years managerial experience in luxury retail with general store management experience
- Experience managing flagship or high profile stores and multi-store management is a plus
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Proficiency with inventory and retail systems and basic computer literacy
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and clienteling abilities
- Ability to analyze sales performance by category and implement merchandising improvements
- Experience managing payroll, scheduling and HR related store administration
