Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the store including sales, staff, merchandise, client development, and customer service. This role drives store profitability and sales objectives while maintaining high operational and merchandising standards and developing store associates.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute local store business strategies to grow clientele and brand awareness
- Lead sales floor activities, coach associates, and drive achievement of sales KPIs
- Ensure exceptional customer experience including clienteling and appointment scheduling
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop store staff and manage performance
- Oversee inventory management, cycle counts, and minimize store shrink
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure product presentation
- Manage store operations including reporting, timekeeping, transfers, and receiving
- Manage store profit and loss and control operating expenses
- Collaborate with Area Manager and cross functional teams on store initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years retail sales experience with at least 3 years supervisory responsibility
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and POS systems
- Proven ability to build and develop client relationships and drive sales
- Experience with recruitment, training, and performance management of retail staff
- Knowledge of visual merchandising and inventory control practices
- Excellent customer service and leadership skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
