Summary
Responsible for leading a product category department to achieve qualitative and quantitative objectives, driving sales performance, ensuring exceptional client service, and managing team activities on the sales floor. Acts as a brand ambassador, motivates staff, and collaborates with store leadership to support business goals and ecommerce development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate department team to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Ensure exceptional customer service and foster cross selling among product categories
- Analyze department performance and define actions to achieve business objectives
- Provide commercial suggestions and feedback to Store Manager
- Train staff in product knowledge, sales techniques, and company procedures
- Support customer retention through clienteling and local customer acquisition
- Maintain visual presentation and back of house organization for the department
- Protect company assets and ensure staff grooming standards
- Share market and product insights with relevant functions to support ecommerce and collection training
Requirements
- Passion and knowledge of the managed product category
- Business driven with strong commercial acumen
- Proven leadership ability and team management skills
- Strong customer service orientation and clienteling skills
- Organized, detail oriented, and effective problem solver
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence peers
- Business or Retail Management degree or equivalent is a plus
- Interest in luxury, fashion, art and design
- English required; other languages a plus
