The Asset Protection Agent protects customers, team members, and merchandise by preventing and investigating theft, ensuring physical security, and supporting store emergency response. The role leverages surveillance systems, RFID data, and reporting tools to identify shrinkage trends and conduct investigations. The agent partners with store leadership and local law enforcement to resolve incidents and maintain a safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Resolve and apprehend theft incidents in compliance with policy and procedures.
• Monitor video and surveillance systems and use RFID and reporting tools to identify theft trends and support investigations.
• Investigate internal theft, gather evidence, prepare prompt incident reports, and testify in court when required.
• Respond to, escalate, and report store security and emergency incidents; serve on the Emergency Response Team and participate in training including first aid.
• Lead security audits, implement merchandise protection standards, and drive shrinkage reduction initiatives.
• Build cross-functional partnerships with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and local law enforcement.
