Asset Protection Detective - Century City

Summary

The Asset Protection Detective is responsible for protecting company assets and reducing shrink through proactive loss prevention, covert surveillance, and thorough investigations. This full-time, on-site role conducts incident response, partners with law enforcement, and supports store leadership in maintaining a safe environment. The role requires detailed reporting, evidence handling, and adherence to legal and company protocols at the Century City location.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance, covert operations, and routine floor coverage to deter theft and misconduct.
• Investigate incidents of internal and external theft, document findings, and maintain chain of custody for evidence.
• Apprehend or detain suspects following company policy and local law, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
• Prepare clear, timely reports and provide testimony or statements for investigations or legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with store leadership to analyze loss trends and implement corrective actions and training.

Requirements

• 3+ years of loss prevention, retail security, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Strong observation, investigative, and report writing skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct surveillance for extended periods; flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to work on-site at the Century City store, coordinate with local law enforcement, and pass a background check.
