The Asset Protection Outlet Detective is responsible for protecting merchandise, assets, and people at the Liberty Place location through proactive loss-prevention activities, observation, and investigations. The role works closely with store management and local law enforcement to deter theft, document incidents, and maintain a safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine surveillance and patrols on the sales floor, stockrooms, and perimeter areas.
• Investigate suspected theft, fraud, and internal shrink; document incidents and prepare clear reports.
• Collaborate with store leadership and local law enforcement on apprehensions and evidence handling.
• Monitor CCTV and other security systems and implement loss-prevention procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior loss prevention or security experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills; ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to follow legal procedures for detentions and evidence preservation.
