The Asset Protection Visual Security Officer supports store safety and loss prevention by monitoring the sales floor and public areas. This part-time role focuses on deterring theft, observing suspicious activity, and collaborating with store management and local law enforcement as needed. The officer maintains a visible presence to promote a safe shopping environment and supports investigations into potential shrink incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits, sales floor, fitting rooms, and stock areas to detect and deter theft.
• Conduct regular patrols and visual surveillance; observe and document suspicious activity.
• Assist with investigations by gathering evidence, preparing incident reports, and preserving documentation.
• Coordinate with store management and local law enforcement when appropriate and follow escalation procedures.
• Provide professional customer service while enforcing loss prevention policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in retail loss prevention, security, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and maintain situational awareness across the store.
• Strong observational, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
