Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - 59th Street

Summary

Protect store assets and ensure a safe shopping environment through proactive visual surveillance and customer-facing security presence. Monitor the sales floor and public areas to deter theft, observe suspicious activity, and respond appropriately. Work with store leadership and local authorities to investigate incidents and support loss prevention initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct continuous visual surveillance of the sales floor, stockrooms, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and identify suspicious behavior and potential theft, intervening in accordance with policy.
• Document incidents, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate logs of security events.
• Collaborate with store management and law enforcement when necessary to investigate incidents.
• Support inventory control, audits, and recovery efforts related to shrink reduction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail loss prevention, security, or related experience preferred.
• Strong observational skills and the ability to remain alert for extended periods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
