Asset Protection Visual Security Officer - North Michigan

Summary

Responsible for protecting company assets and ensuring a safe environment through visual security presence and asset protection procedures at the North Michigan location in Chicago. The officer will monitor public areas, observe suspicious activity, and collaborate with store management to prevent theft and loss. This role requires regular on-site presence and engagement with customers and staff to maintain store standards and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual surveillance of sales floor and common areas to deter theft and misconduct
• Observe and report suspicious behavior to management and loss prevention teams
• Assist in investigations of theft incidents and prepare accurate incident reports
• Work with store staff to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
• Monitor entrances and exits and perform routine patrols of the store
• Support compliance with company asset protection policies and procedures
• Coordinate with law enforcement when necessary and follow prescribed escalation protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in security or asset protection preferred
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and law enforcement
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods while on duty
• High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
• Basic report writing skills and ability to document incidents clearly
