Summary

The Asset Protection Visual Security Officer monitors store premises on a part time basis at the North Michigan location to deter loss and ensure a safe environment for customers and staff. This role conducts visible security patrols, observes suspicious activity, and coordinates with store management and law enforcement as needed. The officer maintains professional conduct while documenting incidents and supporting loss prevention programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular visible security patrols throughout the store and surrounding areas
• Observe and identify suspicious behavior and potential theft incidents
• Document and report incidents accurately to management
• Coordinate with store leadership and law enforcement when necessary
• Assist in maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff
• Support implementation of loss prevention procedures and visual deterrents
• Testify or provide statements for incidents when required

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail loss prevention or security preferred
• Ability to remain alert and observant during shifts
• Strong communication and incident reporting skills
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and team members
• Availability to work part time hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
• Basic knowledge of security protocols and safety procedures
