Summary

Assistant Sales Department Manager responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer experience in the kidswear and kids shoes department. Support the department manager by recruiting, training and coaching the team while executing business plans to meet volume and productivity goals. Maintain merchandising standards, manage inventory accuracy and help achieve shrinkage targets.

Responsibilities

• Recruit hire train develop and motivate department sales team
• Assist department manager in achieving department volume and productivity goals
• Develop and execute a business plan for the department
• Coach teach and lead by example to ensure outstanding customer service
• Actively sell on the floor to build customer relationships and loyalty
• Ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met
• Assist with inventory management and achieving shrinkage goals
• Maintain productive relationships with store leaders and merchandisers

Requirements

• Track record of successful sales results and strong productivity
• Competitive drive and confidence to succeed in a commission based environment
• Ability to set and achieve sales goals
• Experience developing and maintaining relationships with managers and merchandisers
• Strong organizational skills and follow through
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work in a retail store environment and lead a team
