Summary
The Assistant Manager partners with the Managing Director and Floor Director to run all aspects of the boutique, drive sales and client development, coach and supervise staff, and ensure operational compliance in a fast paced luxury environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily staff activities including coaching, training and achieving sales objectives
- Model exceptional service and maintain active management presence on the sales floor
- Review business by métier, track delivery and special orders, and identify sales opportunities
- Contribute to and conduct touch-base meetings and performance evaluations
- Communicate and enforce CRM standards and associate compliance
- Ensure policy and procedure compliance across the team
- Monitor scheduling, E-time, vacation and attendance records with HR
- Organize seasonal trainings and ensure integration of métier knowledge into client conversations
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing and maintaining candidate database
Requirements
- 4+ years of retail management experience, luxury experience preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Cegid and E-time
- Ability to learn POS payroll and merchandise systems and troubleshoot effectively
- Ability to interpret sales data and make business recommendations
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 0-25 lbs without assistance
- Flexible availability based on business needs
- Supervisory experience and responsibility for meeting sales and inventory goals
