Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the Managing Director and Floor Director to run all aspects of the boutique including driving sales, client development via CRM, staff coaching and daily operations in a fast paced luxury retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach sales staff including training and performance management
- Model active management presence on the sales floor and ensure exceptional client service
- Identify sales opportunities through weekly business reviews and track deliveries and special orders
- Conduct or contribute to touch base meetings and annual performance evaluations
- Manage CRM standards and follow up to maximize client capture and data quality
- Communicate and enforce store policies and procedures
- Monitor scheduling, timekeeping and maintain records of vacation and attendance
- Organize seasonal trainings and ensure sales team integration of product knowledge into client conversations
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing and maintaining candidate database
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of retail management experience; luxury experience preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Cegid and E time
- Ability to learn POS payroll and merchandise systems and troubleshoot
- Ability to interpret sales data and translate into business recommendations
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 0-25 lbs without assistance
- Flexible availability to meet business needs
