Assistant Manager

Summary

The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in driving sales, profitability, and operational excellence for the store. This role helps execute store strategy, uphold brand standards, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while supporting talent development and community outreach. The Assistant Manager also oversees inventory control, store execution, and adoption of new selling technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
• Drive execution of store sales strategies and client development activities
• Recruit, develop, coach, and provide feedback to store team members
• Maintain sales floor standards and ensure excellent customer experience
• Manage inventory processes and support shrink control efforts
• Champion use of technology to support selling and omnichannel initiatives
• Provide feedback on category and market trends to leadership

Requirements

• Retail management or similar high-volume specialty retail experience preferred
• College degree or equivalent a plus
• Strong communication, planning, and time management skills
• Ability to stand, walk, operate register, and lift up to 30 lbs
• Flexible schedule availability including days, evenings, weekends and possible travel
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members
