Summary

The Assistant Sales Department Manager supports department leadership to drive sales, coach the team, manage inventory and ensure merchandising standards while delivering exceptional customer service. This role focuses on recruiting, training and motivating sales associates and assisting in achieving department productivity and shrinkage goals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit hire and train department sales team
• Coach and develop salespeople to deliver outstanding customer service
• Assist the department manager in achieving sales volume and productivity goals
• Actively sell on the floor to build customer relationships and loyalty
• Support merchandising and presentation standards
• Help ensure accurate inventory management and meet shrinkage targets
• Develop and execute departmental business plans
• Collaborate with store leaders and divisional merchandisers
