Summary
The Associate General Manager supports the General Manager in leading a luxury outlet store, driving sales and delivering exceptional client service. This role oversees day-to-day store operations, coaches and develops the sales team, and ensures store presentation, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention.
Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in monitoring daily store activities and team performance to achieve sales and profitability goals.
- Coach, train, and motivate sales staff to drive clienteling and comp store results.
- Maintain compliance with operational policies, security procedures, and inventory control to minimize shrink.
- Actively sell and build relationships with new and existing clients on the sales floor.
- Oversee back-of-house operations including receiving, shipping, POS systems, maintenance, and supplies.
- Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation standards are maintained.
- Collaborate on local events, marketing initiatives, and client experience strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of specialty retail including clienteling, visual merchandising, and store operations.
- Computer proficiency with retail POS systems, Word, Excel, and email.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and support the Store Manager.
