Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store, drives operational excellence, optimizes talent and selling methods, and upholds brand standards while acting as a key decision maker in the General Manager's absence.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
- Educate team on sales and profit performance tools
- Create consistent customer experiences aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in store client development strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and collaborate on building and developing the team
- Drive networking and recruitment activities in the market
- Manage store processes including inventory control to achieve shrink goals
- Champion new technology and selling techniques to drive results
- Maintain sales floor and store standards at high levels
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar experience in a high-volume specialty environment preferred
- Effective communication with customers and store personnel
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and prolonged standing
- Ability to operate register and work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
- Proven track record building positive working relationships
- Business acumen with strong planning and time management skills
