Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store while maintaining brand standards. This role acts as a key decision maker in the GM's absence and focuses on operational excellence, talent development, and delivering a consistent customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
- Educate and coach team on sales and profit performance tools
- Create and uphold a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in creating store client development strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and collaborate on hiring and development
- Manage store processes including inventory control to meet shrink goals
- Promote use of technology and new selling techniques to drive results
- Maintain sales floor and store standards at all times
- Provide feedback to leadership on market trends and profit potential
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar high-volume specialty experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods
- Ability to operate register and work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Proven track record of building positive working relationships
- Business acumen with strong planning and prioritization skills
