Summary
The Selling Manager supports store leadership to drive profitable sales and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role executes business initiatives, coaches the sales team, and helps maintain store standards and operational processes to achieve performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Support Store Management in analyzing business trends and executing store initiatives
- Communicate sales and profit performance tools to the store team
- Handle customer complaints and resolve service issues to uphold brand expectations
- Support client development through community outreach in the market
- Participate in recruitment and interviewing to build and develop the sales team
- Provide coaching and feedback to develop talent and support training initiatives
- Maintain inventory control and support operational management
- Champion new selling technologies and techniques to drive results
- Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar industry experience in a complex high-volume specialty environment preferred
- Proven track record building positive relationships with customers and coworkers
- Strong planning, prioritization and time management skills
- Ability to operate register, stand and move for multiple hours and lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and possible travel
- Business acumen and effective communication skills
