Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure profitable store performance, operational excellence, and brand integrity. This role acts as a key decision maker in the absence of the General Manager, leads talent development, and drives customer experience and community initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and developing store initiatives
- Educate and coach team on sales and profit performance tools
- Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in creating client development strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy, recruit and develop store team members
- Manage store operations including inventory control and shrink goals
- Champion use of new technology and new selling techniques
- Maintain store standards and uphold company policies and procedures
- Provide feedback on high profit potential and category trends to leadership
Requirements
- Retail management or similar industry experience in a high-volume specialty environment preferred
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and extended standing
- Ability to operate register and perform store operational duties
- Flexible schedule availability including evenings, weekends and possible travel
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- Business acumen with strong planning and prioritization skills
