Associate Manager

Summary

The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in driving store performance through strategic planning, operational excellence, and talent development. This role helps execute the store vision, ensures a consistent customer experience, and acts as a key decision maker in the GM's absence. The Associate Manager focuses on sales, inventory control, and team development to achieve profitable results.

Responsibilities

• Support GM with business analysis and execution of strategic initiatives for the store
• Coach and develop store talent; execute recruitment and community outreach activities
• Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned with brand standards
• Manage store processes, inventory control and shrink reduction efforts
• Drive adoption of new selling technologies and omnichannel initiatives
• Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent a plus; retail management experience preferred
• Proven track record of success building strong customer and team relationships
• Strong business acumen, planning and time management skills
• Ability to operate register, stand and walk for extended periods, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel
• Effective communication skills with customers and store personnel
