Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager is responsible for driving sales and creating personalized beauty experiences at an assigned luxury brand counter within the department store. This role combines direct customer service, product education, and vendor collaboration while working in a commissioned sales environment. The manager will achieve counter goals through in-store and digital selling tools and maintain a customer-ready department.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
- Manage sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and enroll customers in rewards program
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive customer environment
- Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and merchandise presentation
- Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, makeup application, and skincare with strong customer service focus
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle concerns with empathy and respect
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in networking and using technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
