The Beauty Counter Manager provides personalized beauty experiences while maximizing sales for an assigned beauty brand. This role blends sales and teaching responsibilities, requires creating customer relationships both in-store and digitally, and managing counter operations and vendor collaborations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to drive results
- Manage sales transactions including refunds and exchanges
- Open new customer loyalty accounts to build customer following
- Keep the department organized, clean, and customer ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through training
- Collaborate with team to create a welcoming inclusive environment
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns
- Empathy and respect for customers during services
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and use networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Experience working in a commissioned sales environment preferred
