The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer experience for an assigned beauty brand within the department, acting as both salesperson and educator. This role focuses on achieving counter sales goals through in-store and digital selling while maintaining brand standards and vendor relationships. The manager ensures the counter is customer-ready and supports team collaboration and training.
Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products to meet customer beauty goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
- Sell, process refunds and exchanges, and open customer rewards program accounts
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including makeup application and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns
- Empathy and respect for customers during makeup and skincare application
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to perform continuous movement and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
