The Beauty Counter Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and sales of an assigned luxury beauty brand counter, delivering personalized makeup and skincare consultations and building customer relationships both in-store and digitally. This role combines sales performance, team collaboration, and vendor partnership to maximize counter results. The manager also ensures the counter is customer-ready and represents current beauty trends and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products to meet customer beauty goals.
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media.
• Manage scheduling, vendor events, promotions, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards account enrollment.
• Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and product presentation to ensure a welcoming customer experience.

Requirements

• Passion for beauty with strong knowledge of makeup application, skincare, and current trends.
• Excellent customer connection skills, empathy during services, and the ability to proactively resolve customer concerns.
• Drive to achieve sales targets and comfort using networking and digital selling tools.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends and to lead by example in a commissioned sales environment.
• Physical ability to be on feet continuously for 6-8 hours, perform frequent bending and reaching, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
