Summary
The Cashier provides clerical and point of sale support for front of house operations in the boutique, ensuring accuracy of transactions, client data entry, and assisting with after sales services while delivering a luxury customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Process sales transactions including cash credit card and other payment forms with accuracy
- Handle returns exchanges refunds and tax refunds per company policies
- Reconcile daily transactions and prepare daily cashier reports
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure adequate cash flow in counters
- Input transaction and client information into the system and invoices accurately
- Provide client service at point of sale including wrapping and packaging
- Answer phones and support general store operations and ad hoc duties
- Support the sales team by providing cashier service and transactional support
Requirements
- 1 year retail experience; luxury environment preferred
- Knowledge of operating cash register or point of sale terminal
- Strong communication organizational and customer service skills
- Good numerical sense attention to detail and high integrity in payment handling
- Cash handling experience strongly preferred
- Ability to multi task and handle difficult situations with composure
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 0-25 lbs without assistance
