Cashier

Summary

Provide a customer first checkout experience by greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, maintaining the cashwrap area, and supporting store operations. This role supports sales through product knowledge and may be part time or full time depending on business needs. Cashiers serve as an entry point for future roles within the company.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver exceptional customer service
• Process sales transactions including cash credit debit and checks accurately
• Validate returns and manage promotional offers and coupon redemption
• Execute Ship to Home orders and maintain customer profiles in POS
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashwrap and queue areas
• Support visual merchandising and capture reticket information
• Answer phones and handle customer inquiries professionally
• Engage in cross selling and upselling to enhance customer experience
• Complete required trainings and collaborate with team members

Requirements

• Retail or similar industry experience preferred
• Ability to operate register stand walk and move for multiple hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and maneuver around the sales floor
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days evenings weekends and possible travel
• Ability to follow company standards procedures and maintain professionalism
• Comfort using POS systems and handling customer information securely
