Summary
Provide a welcoming checkout experience by processing transactions accurately, maintaining the cash wrap area, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role supports store operations, assists with returns and promotions, and helps drive sales through product knowledge and suggestive selling. Position may be offered part time or full time based on business needs and candidate availability.
Responsibilities
- Create exceptional customer experiences with warm greetings and professional phone etiquette
- Process sales transactions including cash, credit, debit, checks and Ship to Home orders
- Validate returned merchandise and manage promotional offers and coupon redemption
- Maintain accurate customer profiles and salesperson data in the POS system
- Keep cash wrap, queue line and surrounding areas clean and organized
- Support visual merchandising standards and capture reticket information
- Engage in cross-selling and upselling to enhance customer experience
- Complete required trainings and provide feedback to management on product opportunities
Requirements
- Retail or similar industry experience preferred
- Ability to operate register and perform cashier duties while standing and moving for multiple hours
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and maneuver around sales floor and stock areas
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with customers and team
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining customer service priority
