Commission Sales Associate - Short Hills

Summary

The Commission Sales Associate is responsible for driving sales within the Home department by engaging customers, providing product expertise, and delivering exceptional service. This role focuses on meeting individual and store sales targets through consultative selling and maintaining merchandising standards. The associate will work on a commission basis and support daily operations on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers, assess needs, and recommend home products and solutions.
• Achieve individual sales goals and contribute to store revenue through consultative selling and follow-up.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, replenishment, and accurate pricing on the sales floor.
• Process transactions accurately and handle cash and electronic payments when required.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.

Requirements

• 2+ years of retail or commission-based sales experience, preferably in home, furniture, or related categories.
• Strong customer service and consultative selling skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfortable working a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with moving or staging merchandise as needed.
• Basic POS, cash-handling experience, and attention to detail.
