The Designated Selling Associate is a salesperson focused on one-on-one customer service and driving sales for the brand through product knowledge, merchandising, and relationship building. The role requires flexibility to support department needs, use of digital selling tools, and appointment based selling to meet volume goals.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in store and digital selling using tools such as text and social media
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts
- Provide style guidance and confident product recommendations to customers
- Conduct product knowledge meetings and educate peers on brand trends and assortment
- Participate in appointment based selling during events and non event timeframes
- Perform merchandising tasks including stocking re merchandising displays price markdowns and transfers
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to inform assortment
- Flexibly support other departments or brands as business needs require
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relationships
- Ability to work in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible schedule availability based on business needs
- Ability to read sales reporting and understand goals
- Willingness to seek product knowledge through trainings and meetings
- Comfort selling across high and low price points and demonstrating product value
- Physical ability to move for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
