Summary
Seasonal maternity coverage role supporting Employee Relations for US Retail, administering policies and programs including performance management, compliance, investigations and HR policy implementation. The role partners with legal counsel, manages ER systems, and delivers training to managers while promoting a safe and compliant work environment. This fully remote position is open to candidates across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day employee relations for store employees including disciplinary action, coaching and counseling
- Conduct full cycle internal investigations into employee concerns
- Prepare and review written documentation such as corrective actions and performance improvement plans
- Develop and deliver formal training to management on Employee Relations topics
- Provide informal coaching to managers on supervision and employment law matters
- Partner with Employment Counsel on cases and new employment legislation implementation
- Manage learning management system and background check system
- Track and report employee documentation and investigation data for trends and training opportunities
- Manage religious accommodation process and relevant ER documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3 years of progressive HR experience with exposure to Employee Relations
- Proven experience conducting thorough unbiased internal investigations
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport and influence at all levels and deliver trainings
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Proficiency with HRIS and Learning Management Systems
- High level of discretion, integrity and ethical conduct
