Hospitality Ambassador - Madison

Summary

The Hospitality Ambassador at the Hermès Maison Madison flagship provides exceptional, high-touch hospitality to clients, creating a welcoming environment from the front door through the selling ceremony. Reporting to the Cash Office Manager, this in-store role supports the sales team and selling support teams, managing floor traffic and assisting clients with personalized services. The ambassador maintains deep attentiveness, discretion, and a professional manner in a fast-paced luxury retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients as they enter and leave the boutique and determine their needs.
• Manage main floor traffic and escort clients to the appropriate floor or sales associate.
• Provide bespoke hospitality services in collaboration with the sales team, including assisting with taxis or car service and helping with shopping bags.
• Offer directions and local neighborhood information; partner with concierge/host team as needed.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of product categories and provide attentive client service (e.g., holding umbrellas in inclement weather).
• Remain alert to client safety concerns and notify Asset Protection of any issues; perform other operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Interest in learning Hermès métiers, history, and product craftsmanship, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service, a warm and gracious demeanor, and the ability to anticipate client needs.
• Experience in a similar retail environment or as a concierge/host in luxury hotels or fine-dining settings preferred.
• Flexible schedule availability, ability to stand for long periods, and regular in-person work at the boutique required.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus and enhances client service.
