Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner - Retail aligns business objectives with employees and management for designated retail business units. This role partners across HR to deliver value-added services, maintains business literacy about unit financials and plans, and reports to the Director of Human Resources. The position is full time on site in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly meetings with assigned business units.
- Consult with line management and provide HR guidance.
- Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions programs and policies.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and conduct investigations.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements to reduce legal risk and ensure compliance.
- Provide performance management guidance including coaching counseling and disciplinary actions.
- Support workforce planning restructures and succession planning.
- Identify training needs and monitor training program effectiveness.
- Develop contract terms for hires promotions and transfers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience resolving complex employee relations issues in retail.
- Extensive experience in employee relations and multiple HR disciplines.
- Excellent verbal written communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply employment laws regulations and policies.
- Strong analytical problem solving and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
