Inside Upholstery Associate

Summary

Perform interior upholstery tasks to manufacture high-quality furniture by applying padding, fabric, and leather to frames to meet product specifications and style requirements. Use hand tools and equipment, correct defects, and move pieces through production stations while upholding brand standards and safety guidelines. Work in a manufacturing environment with physical demands including lifting and exposure to machinery and materials.

Responsibilities

• Transport frames to workstation and place onto work table, lift or bucks
• Apply appropriate padding or other materials to frames using staple gun, glue, or other methods
• Apply fabric and leather to frames to meet quality specifications and style
• Use hand tools such as staple gun, mallets, and clinchers
• Correct mistakes on pieces before moving to next work area
• Apply webbing, springs, or trim and inspect or label product
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
• Follow vision, values, and safety practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar field
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Detail-oriented to uphold brand integrity
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 100 pounds
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and depth perception
