Interim Beauty Counter Manager - Fashion Show

Summary

The Interim Beauty Counter Manager oversees a luxury brand counter, combining sales and coaching to maximize performance and customer satisfaction. This role manages daily counter operations, vendor relationships, and both in-store and digital selling activities in a commissioned sales environment. The manager also supports team development and ensures the counter is customer-ready and aligned with current beauty trends.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications, conduct skincare analyses, and recommend products tailored to customer beauty goals
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards enrollment
• Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and product presentation; keep current on beauty trends through training

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, makeup application, skincare, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to connect with customers, handle concerns proactively, and contribute to a positive team environment
• Strong multitasking, organizational skills, follow-through, and initiative
• Drive to achieve sales goals and comfort using networking and digital selling tools
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends; able to continuously move 6-8 hours per shift and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
