Summary

The Interim Beauty Counter Manager leads the assigned brand counter to deliver personalized beauty experiences while maximizing sales. This role balances selling and coaching, manages vendor relationships and events, and uses both in-store and digital tools to build customer loyalty. The manager ensures the counter is customer-ready and that team members are supported in delivering expert product recommendations and services.

Responsibilities

• Provide makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product recommendations tailored to customers' beauty goals.
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media.
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events, promotions, and vendor relationships to drive results.
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and open Nordstrom Rewards accounts to build customer loyalty.
• Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and customer-ready presentation.
• Keep current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge and share learnings with the team.

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, including makeup application and skincare, and comfort working in a commissioned sales environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect, handle concerns, and create an inclusive, supportive experience.
• Strong multitasking, organization, follow-through, and initiative to drive sales and execution.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to be on your feet for long periods, perform frequent bending and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
