The Licensed Optician provides expert eyewear fitting and guidance in a luxury retail setting, supports store leadership in maintaining optical quality controls, and builds a strong client following by delivering exceptional service and driving sales.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional sales and client service to meet and exceed standards
- Guide customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to lifestyle and prescription needs
- Take and record measurements and perform adjustments with flawless accuracy
- Ensure finished eyewear meets luxury retail quality standards
- Maintain presentation standards on the sales floor and in the back office
- Maintain inventory controls and support store policies and procedures
- Train and mentor managers and associates
- Support set up and execution of store events
- Stay current on product knowledge and fashion trends
Requirements
- High school diploma
- State licensure or certification as an optician
- 2+ years sales experience in the luxury service industry
- Knowledge of current optical theory and practices
- Proven ability to build and maintain a client following
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Polished appearance and strong interpersonal skills
- Computer skills and resourceful results orientation
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
