Licensed Optician

Summary

The Licensed Optician delivers exceptional customer service and expert optical care in a luxury retail setting. They build and maintain a strong client following, guide customers in selecting frames and lenses, and ensure finished eyewear meets the brand's quality standards. The role supports store leadership and helps maintain presentation and inventory controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard sales and service to meet and exceed client expectations
• Develop and maintain client relationships and a strong customer following
• Advise customers on frame and lens selection based on RX, lifestyle, wardrobe, and budget
• Accurately take measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure flawless finished products
• Maintain product knowledge, visual presentation, inventory controls, and back-office standards
• Support in-store events and train or mentor managers and associates

Requirements

• High school diploma
• State licensure or certification as an optician
• 2+ years sales experience in the luxury service industry
• Knowledge of optical theory and practice; strong measurement and fitting skills
• Polished appearance, strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy and flexibility to work evenings and weekends
