Summary
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining the boutique appearance, coordinating cleaning services and maintenance vendors, supervising technicians and cleaning crews, and supporting event setup and store operations. This role reports to the Operations Manager and collaborates with facilities and loss prevention to ensure safety and cleanliness throughout operating hours.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and clean shelves, display cases, glass surfaces, restrooms and common areas during store hours
- Coordinate and manage contract cleaning services and maintenance vendors
- Supervise in-store technicians and cleaning crews
- Address and resolve assigned maintenance tasks and keep management informed
- Provide daily updates on maintenance progress and maintain communication via email and systems
- Manage store maintenance supplies and equipment inventory
- Ensure safety of staff during projects and maintenance emergencies
- Assist with setup and breakdown for store events and deliveries
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- 2+ years of facility and maintenance experience preferably in a high-end environment
- High school diploma
- Ability to use tools and cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays and occasional overnight stays
- Strong communication skills and ability to use email and Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently and supervise teams
- Good manual dexterity and eye hand coordination
- Attention to safety and environmental issues and ability to report concerns
