Manager, HR Business Partner - Retail

Summary

The Manager, HR Business Partner will provide HR partnership to CELINE’s retail network across the United States and Canada, acting as a trusted advisor to regional and store leadership. This role leads generalist HR activities including talent acquisition, development, employee relations, and HR administration to support business objectives and drive retention. The position is based in New York with responsibility for executing staffing directives and supporting a high-performance retail culture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR business partner to Regional Directors and retail leadership, translating business needs into HR solutions and advising on organizational design and change management.
• Lead retail leadership sourcing, improve onboarding and support compensation approval and staffing requisitions.
• Drive talent development, succession planning, and annual performance processes across the retail network.
• Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, performance improvement plans, and terminations in partnership with legal as needed.
• Partner with corporate and regional HR on leaves, worker's compensation, payroll, benefits inquiries, and HR record keeping.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent HR experience.
• Minimum 5 years (5-7 years preferred) progressive HR experience including people management and retail HR relations.
• Experience with HRIS platforms and ATS recruiting platforms; proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Comprehensive understanding of U.S. and Canadian employment laws and strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 25-35% and flexibility to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
