Summary
The Merchandising Manager is accountable for managing the men's product category across the Americas to elevate sales and margin by developing assortment strategy, driving inventory and replenishment decisions, and partnering with cross functional teams. This role requires strong analytical ability, presentation skills, and frequent collaboration with retail, digital, marketing, and product teams. The role includes periodic travel to support seasonal buys and store initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop assortment strategy for the Omni business in partnership with Director of Merchandising
- Analyze fiscal selling reports and perform business analysis to drive inventory transfers and assortment decisions
- Manage merchandise consolidation and transfers and partner with supply chain on replenishment and target stock levels
- Support store management teams with product knowledge, seasonal buy books, and in store executions
- Execute and maintain merchandising guidelines and visual presentation strategies
- Assist with store openings, renovations, and store manager meetings
- Collaborate with Worldwide Merchandising and Product teams on product development and market feedback
- Partner with Marketing, CRM, and Digital teams to align editorial, clientele, and omnichannel strategies
- Travel to Italy showroom for seasonal buy meetings
Requirements
- 5+ years of business experience with knowledge of retail concepts and calculations
- Experience with in store executions and strong understanding of luxury market needs
- Proven problem solving and sound decision making skills
- Strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Elevated presentation skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- Self motivated with a strong drive for achievement
- Ability to process information quickly and draw conclusions
