Summary

The Retail Sales role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting customer relationships both in-store and digitally. The salesperson uses styling expertise and selling tools, including text and social media, to set and achieve sales goals and grow a customer following. The position requires flexibility to work varied schedules and occasionally support other departments.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals through in-store and digital selling using tools such as text and social media
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and open Nordstrom Rewards accounts
• Provide honest, confident feedback on style and fit and deliver customer service on the customer’s terms
• Keep the department customer-ready by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, applying price markdowns, and light cleaning
• Occasionally perform duties in other departments as business needs require

Requirements

• Excellent communication and people skills with a self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset
• Interest in using networking and technology to achieve sales goals and the ability to excel in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment and work a flexible schedule
• Physical ability to be on continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds
