Summary
Manage all phases of high-end retail store construction from preconstruction through turnover, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and quality targets. Coordinate architects, designers, engineers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver luxury finishes and compliant installations. Oversee permits, inspections, safety, and project close-out documentation for seamless store openings.
Responsibilities
- Oversee retail construction projects from concept and design development to final delivery and turnover.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, cost reports, and technical due diligence.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, contractors, millworkers, façade contractors, and vendors.
- Solicit and level bids, negotiate pricing, prepare change orders, and manage payment applications.
- Review shop drawings for constructability and compliance with design intent.
- Ensure workmanship meets brand specifications and enforce on-site safety and code compliance.
- Drive projects to on-time completion, manage punch lists, warranties, and collect close-out documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing construction projects, preferably high-end retail or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, luxury finishes, and quality control.
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Procore, Primavera, or similar) and P2P/SAP systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership skills, and ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects.
- Ability to travel as required for site visits and meetings.
