Job Description

Summary

Retail Sales associate responsible for achieving sales goals both in-store and through digital channels, building customer relationships, providing styling and fit advice, and supporting department operations including stocking and merchandising. The role requires flexibility in schedule and occasional work in other departments as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools such as text and social media
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and grow customer following
  • Provide honest and confident styling and fit advice to customers
  • Support department readiness by filling orders, stocking, remerchandising, and price markdowns
  • Perform light cleaning and maintain a customer ready environment
  • Open new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts to grow relationships
  • Work collaboratively with team members and adapt to working in other departments when required
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self motivated and goal oriented with a sales focus
  • Interest in using networking and technology to drive sales
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Organizational skills and strong follow through
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
  • Willingness to learn product and fashion knowledge to build expertise
