Summary

Responsible for receiving, unpacking and delivering merchandise to selling departments while fulfilling customer orders and preparing shipments. Supports inventory control by scanning and processing shipments and helps maintain organized selling floors and stockrooms. Works a flexible schedule and performs physical tasks including lifting, bending and frequent movement.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload freight and unpack merchandise
• Deliver new merchandise to selling departments
• Fulfill and prepare customer orders following packing and shipping standards
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan and process shipments
• Research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes
• Assist with maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
• Support store activities such as special events setup, markdowns and relocating fixtures

Requirements

• High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using technology and new computer applications
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
• Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending and reaching
• Capable of lifting frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
