The Sales Associate develops deep, long lasting relationships with customers to increase sales, service, and loyalty. This commission-based retail role focuses on delivering extraordinary customer service, meeting and exceeding sales targets, and building a loyal personal client base through proactive outreach and use of technology and social media.
Responsibilities
- Deliver extraordinary service to all customers consistently
- Exceed sales and service goals and targets
- Build and maintain a loyal personal client base by acquiring new customers and developing existing clients
- Attend product knowledge and vendor training and store seminars
- Perform floor recovery, visual merchandising, and price change tasks
- Communicate regularly with personal clients via phone, mail, and electronic methods
- Resolve customer service issues and escalate to selling management when needed
- Comply with health and safety policies and requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a commission-based luxury sales environment
- Demonstrated consistent sales performance and ability to achieve sales quotas
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Highly collaborative and team oriented
- Experience leveraging social media to build a personal brand and influence
- Skilled using multiple technology channels to strengthen relationships and drive client acquisition
- Strong understanding of current and emerging fashion trends
- Broad product knowledge across all store merchandise categories
- Proactive about staying informed on new merchandise deliveries to maximize sales potential
