Job Description

We are a global apparel brand known for our commitment to premium craftsmanship and timeless design. Our team is expanding in North America, and we are seeking a talented Wholesale Sales Manager to oversee major accounts (Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Bloomingdale’s). This role will report directly to the Managing Director and collaborate closely with an established team of five: another Sales Manager dedicated to major accounts, three Sales Managers responsible for specialty accounts, and a Planner.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management
  • Serve as the primary contact for Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Bloomingdale’s, nurturing and growing these strategic partnerships.
  • Develop and execute sales plans, forecasts, and budgets in alignment with company goals.
  • Coordinate seasonal buy meetings, presentations, and product selections to meet client needs.
Sales Performance & Strategy
  • Achieve sales targets by analyzing account performance and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Formulate strategies to maximize sell-through and manage inventory levels, leveraging strong retail math skills.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with buyers and internal stakeholders, presenting data-driven insights and market trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with the internal Planner to align on forecasting, allocations, and overall financial targets.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the product and marketing teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and assortment suitability for each retailer.
  • Provide feedback on product performance and market preferences to influence future collections.
Travel & Market Participation
  • Travel extensively during peak market seasons (February–April and September–November) to visit major accounts, attend trade shows, and participate in on-site meetings.
  • Travel to Sweden twice a year to collaborate with global teams, review product lines, and attend key market events.
  • Maintain a hybrid work schedule (2–3 days per week in-office) when not traveling.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with buyers and stakeholders, leveraging existing industry networks to enhance partnerships.
  • Contribute to a positive, entrepreneurial work environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3–5 years in a sales or account executive role, ideally with direct exposure to Neiman Marcus, Saks, or Bloomingdale’s.
  • Industry Background: Men’s clothing experience preferred; high-end women’s clothing backgrounds are also acceptable.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel and retail math; adept at creating persuasive presentations and analyzing data.
  • Relationship Building: Familiarity with major department store buyers and decision-makers is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a well-regarded university is strongly preferred.
  • Mindset: Entrepreneurial, driven, and adaptable—willing to travel extensively and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
