Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for the sales experience of a store department, partnering across departments to drive team performance and achieve sales goals while maintaining merchandise presentation and departmental operations. This role works on-site and reports to a Senior Group Manager.
Responsibilities
- Drive department sales growth and achieve targets in partnership with functional leads
- Oversee merchandise presentation and communications with merchant and vendor partners
- Manage team execution, coaching and motivating associates to deliver results
- Collaborate with Buyers to review business and develop action plans
- Partner with Client Development Leads to establish departmental strategies and priorities
- Plan and manage departmental budgets to optimize revenue and control expenses
- Support audit compliance and enforce department and stockroom controls
- Manage product placement and sales promotion within the department
- Adjust processes based on customer behavior trends and focus programs
Requirements
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in luxury retail fashion
- Proven track record of achieving sales results
- Experience building, leading, motivating, and coaching teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capacity to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 10 pounds as needed
- Strong partnership and communication skills
- Customer oriented with strategic and analytical approach
